Grated potato pancakes


  • 3-4 medium-sized potatoes (about 300 g);
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1 tbsp. l. flour;
  • salt and pepper to taste;
  • 5 tbsp of sunflower oil for frying;
  • sour cream for serving.

Step-by-step Recipe

Step 1. Peel 3-4 potatoes and onions. Grate the vegetables on a coarse grater.
Step 2. Add the egg and mix all the ingredients until smooth. Put the potato and onion mixture into a bowl, add 1 tbsp of flour, salt and pepper to taste and start frying the pancakes immediately.
Step 3. Heat a frying pan with sunflower oil and add the potato mixture with a tablespoon. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Place the pancakes on a double-layer paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve the pancakes with sour cream.
